Characteristics and Management
Good Early Spring Growth
The use of modern late perennials, which start growth much earlier than older varieties, provides a good quality, early bite.
Very High Quality
...is achieved by using a carefully selected blend of late heading perennial ryegrasses, clovers and Timothy which have a high D value combined with high levels of sugar, minerals and protein content. Red Circle will also retain its quality when left to bulk up because it contains high D value pasture perennials which do not produce early seedheads.
Adaptable
Red Circle has proved scucessful on all soil types and in all locations including exposed sites. It also responds well to high and low input systems.
Long Lasting
By using late perennial ryegrasses Red Circle gives maximum production for many years.
Easy to Manage
All varieties in Red Circle reach 70 D over a narrow mid-season period.
Extended Grazing
Late perennial ryegrasses start growth early and finish late giving 3 weeks more leafy grazing. They also grow well in mid-summer when other species slow down production.
Excellent Animal Performance
High yields of palatable, high quality grass result in very high levels of milk and meat production.
Excellent Palatability
... is achieved by using late perennial ryegrasses, clover and Timothy. This blend of species will improve palatability in dry weather and in mid-summer. This will ensure maximum intake of grass for maximum production.
Additional Benefits
• High yields • Quick recovery from cutting • Winter hardy and drought tolerant • Easy to establish • Excellent poaching resistance
Organic Red Circle is available without seed treatments and with organically produced constituents.
