FARMERS ‘CHILL OUT’ AT AGRISCOT
The Nickerson Direct team were at the Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh for this year’s Agriscot event. Visitors were offered a chance to ‘chill out’ for a while and enjoy a complimentary ice cream, served by Wheelbirks of Northumberland. Over 300 visitors came to the stand and were able to chat to our team of Seed Specialists about the Nickerson Direct range of Circle Ley grass mixtures. Hugh and Tom Richardson of Wheelbirks Farm have over 120 Jersey cows that are fed on Circle Ley grass mixtures, which enable the cows to produce the rich and creamy milk that is needed to produce their top quality ice cream. They welcome the on farm advice they get from their local Seed Specialist, Mr Sean Lovegreen, who is able to advise them on the correct leys. Circle Leys are part of our Circle Science approach to planning your total farm and forage production and is based on the concept of maximising the most economic forage production for your individual enterprise.
