ISTABRAQ is an HGCA Recommended, soft endosperm, nabim Group 4 variety with good all-round disease resistance. It is suitable for many outlets and offers flexibility in marketing.

Istabraq has performed well when late sown, as a second cereal and is particularly suited to the north of the UK.

Istabraq is the highest yielding fully recommended winter wheat variety on the 2007 SAC Cereal Recommended List. Istabraq is very well adapted for the North of England and Scotland with straw length similar to Consort (Istabraq = 7, Consort = 8) but with much improved specific weight, Istabraq is the only variety on the SAC list which is rated Good for distilling.
