GATSBY is a high yielding feed wheat with a unique combination of agronomic and disease resistance characteristics, including resistance to Wheat Orange Blossom Midge.
Gatsby has a high treated yield potential and a very high untreated yield.
Gatsby has yielded well in all areas of the UK.
Gatsby has medium length straw (similar to Robigus) and is very stiff with good lodging resistance when PGR treated. It is later to ripen than Claire and Robigus. |
Gatsby is a nabim Group 4 variety with a soft endosperm and a good specific weight for the feed sector.
Gatsby has excellent resistance to all the major foliar diseases with no weaknesses. It is one of only three varieties on the HGCA Recommended List to have a '7' for Septoria tritici resistance.
Gatsby has proven genetic resistance to Wheat Orange Blossom Midge and was added to the 2006 HGCA Recommended List with a specific recommendation for this character.
