Honey Bee is a colourful, mid-height flower mixture, comprising of flowering plants for landscaping and beautifying, which will attract an assortment of insects – in particular, bees and pollinators.
Honey Bee is a 100% annual mix and can grow up to around 1 – 1.5 meters tall.
This flower mixture contains many renowned species, known for yielding or producing honey. Such as Borage and Cornflower, Yellow Cosmos, Godetia and Black-Eyed Susan / Cornflowers.
Honey Bee flower mixture will attract numerous species of insects, butterflies, and moths. These, in turn, provide a much-needed food source for birds and mammals.
In addition to well-known species with their melliferous character, Borage and Cornflower, for example, other species including Cosmos Sulphureus, Godetia, and Rudbeckia have been included in the mixture for added diversity.
Sow in April through to May at a rate of 2g/m2. With the right conditions, germination will take place 8 to 10 days later.
The plants reach a height of approximately 1- 1.5m and flowering first occurs in mid-June continuing through to mid-October
